Visit a TALI Pluralistic School in Israel
Meet with teachers, parents and children of the school
with a representative from the TALI Education Fund who will describe activities and the principles of TALI education. Get an in-depth understanding of the underpinnings of the school through meetings with the principal; observations of classrooms with emphasis on unique learning approaches to Judaism. TALI schools are located throughout Israel and a mission visit to a school can easily be coordinated in such places as Jerusalem, Ashkelon, Haifa and northern Krayot, Netanya, Hod Hasharon and more.

Visit a MILI — "Intellectual" Club for Young Russian-Speaking Immigrants
MILI (Hebrew acronym for Midreshet Yerushalayim Creative Learning) — a "mind game" extremely popular in Russia, has grown into an Israeli nationwide phenomenon that is attracting hundreds of young Russian immigrants. The added twist in Israel: Jewish content which makes up at least 40% of the game's questions.

 

Get a taste of the MILI game in English at the Schechter Institute with MILI coordinator, a new immigrant from Kiev who has "grown" the project.
Visit a MY learning center in one of a number of locations throughout Israel. Get to meet new immigrants thirsty for Jewish knowledge presented in an open and intellectual approach.

Meet with MY MILI and Learning Center coordinators, most of whom are graduates of the Schechter Institute's MA program or leadership course for new immigrants and leaders of their communities.

 

Visit Neve Hanna Children's Home in Kiryat Gat
Neve Hanna, (http://www.nevehanna.org) a youth village located between Jerusalem and Beersheva, provides a loving home for children from troubled families whose early lives were scarred by poverty and abuse. Affiliated with the Conservative/Masorti Movement and the TALI school system, the children's homes cares for 65 live-in residents and 35 non-boarding youngsters.
